Hi! It’s the team from EventChain here, we want to give you a breakdown of Eastern Canada’s most exciting Canada day events.
IN TORONTO this weekend there are many events to happening to celebrate our nations birthday. Beginning with the Queen Quay Harbourfront Centre. Toronto’s iconic waterfront will become a gathering for feminist, Indigenous, racialized, queer, newcomer and otherwise marginalized voices in Canada. OneLand: Many Nations showcases the many powerful music talents striving, thriving and creating together on this land.
Next, we have Toronto’s 18-year-old Canada day tradition of Ribfest. Ribfest will be taking place at Toronto’s Centennial Park from June 29th– July 2nd. and it’s more than epic food trucks and the all you eat ribs folks. Take the kids to the massive Midway, check out the long list of bands and performers, and enjoy special attractions including line dancing, celebrity food judging, and axe throwing. You can even try out the mechanical bull and see how long you hang on! Be sure to join in on Canada Day for special performers, magic shows, and a spectacular firework display at sundown.
IN OUR NATIONS CAPITAL OTTAW An epic weekend of festivities awaits you! Join in and express Canadian pride and a common sense of belonging to such a diverse country on June 30 and July 1. Fun-filled activities and live entertainment will pump up the crowd for sure! There will be something for everyone to enjoy on Parliament Hill, at the Canadian Museum of History and at Major’s Hill Park.
More specifically, Parliament Hill will be bursting with fun-filled activities and live musical performances by well-known and emerging artists from across Canada. Canada’s Capital Region is definitely the place to be during this year’s celebration. Fireworks will begin at 10 pm. Don’t miss out.
IN MONTREAL…come celebrate Canada Day in the Old Port of Montreal! This year we commemorate how our nation’s values and differences keep us united. This year’s celebrations will bring Canadians into an immersive exhibition featuring activities, workshops, entertainment and stage performances that are aimed to make our values shine. There will be a multicultural march, swearing in of new Canadian citizens, floor hockey competition and much more. Come rain or shine fireworks will light up the Jaquces Pierre Port at the end of the evening.
